• The world works from the outside in.
• 世界的影響是由外而內。
• The world would take people out of the slums.

• Christ takes the slums out of people,
• and then they take themselves out of the slums.
• 基督則除去人們內心的貧瘠，然後他們把自己帶離窮困的境地。
• The world would mold men
• by changing their environment.
• 世界以改變環境來塑造人；
• Christ changes men,
• who then change their environment.
• 基督改變人，然後由人改變環境。
• The world would shape human behavior,
• but Christ can change human nature.”17

• Covenants and priesthood ordinances
• are central in the ongoing process
• of spiritual rebirth and transformation;
• they are the means
• whereby the Lord works with each of us
• from the inside out.
• 屬靈的重生和改變是不斷進行的過程，聖約和聖職教儀是當中的關鍵；神用這兩個方法，在我們的身上由內而外做工。
• Covenants that are honored steadfastly,
• remembered always,
• and written “with the Spirit of the living God …
• in fleshy tables of the heart”18
• provide purpose and the assurance of blessings
• in mortality and for eternity.

• Ordinances that are received worthily
• and remembered continually
• open the heavenly channels
• through which the power of godliness
• can flow into our lives.

• We do not come to the temple
• to hide from or escape
• the evils of the world.

• Rather,
• we come to the temple
• to conquer the world of evil.
• 而是為了戰勝這邪惡的世界。
• As we invite into our lives
• the “power of godliness”19
• by receiving priesthood ordinances
• and making and keeping sacred covenants,
• we are blessed with strength beyond our own20
• to overcome the temptations
• and challenges of mortality
• and to do and become good.
